A Little About Daisy:

Hello, my name is Daisy Lamoureux and I am a second year student in UVic’s Bachelor of Elementary Education program! I have been living in Victoria for school but am originally from a small town in the Kootenay’s called Kaslo, which is located on the traditional territory of the Ktunaxa and Sinixt Peoples. When not studying to become a teacher or working as a server you can find me in the outdoors hiking, paddling, skiing, or on the beach in the water. Growing up in a small mountain town definitely made the outdoors my safe space. Apart from the outdoors my passions lay in helping others, giving back, and being creative with anything from poetry, art ,or music. I come from a big family, having three siblings, two cats, and a dog and find connection and socialization to be a big part of how I define myself. Now I get to have a second family of my three roommates at UVic, which is so special! To know me is to know my family and friends, because they make me who I am and help me become who I want to be.
This blog’s purpose is to share my process in gaining knowledge and skills through UVic’s Technology and Innovation course; specifically shown in the process and creation of my semester long inquiry project, discussion posts, and research regarding technology in elementary schools. I look forward to learning more about myself through these explorations as well as how to navigate technology.
Thank you for learning a bit about me, I hope this blog can teach you a little more about yourself, technology, and the world we live in!
